The Cervantes Theatre Auditorium is ideal for rehearsal space. Situated just 3 minutes walk from Southwark tube station, it is convenient to get to and is a space that works for up to 15 people to rehearse in.

The space features a floor area of roughly 25m squared  and as it is the main auditorium there is also plenty of seating space over and above this for people to rest/watch. The gallery of photos below shows the space in more detail:

We rent out the auditorium at competitive prices. It can be booked for either the morning, the afternoon or the evening or in any combination of these. The timings for the sessions are

Morning : 10 am to 1.30 pm,         Afternoon:  2 pm to 5:30 pm     Evening:  6 pm to 10 pm.   (Hirers of session next to each other have use of auditorium in the the half hour between their sessions).

Pricing is given in the table below. All prices need to have VAT at 20% added to them.

What are the payment terms ?

For all bookings of less than 6 sessions, we require payment at the time of booking. For longer bookings, we require 50% at the time of payment and 50% when you come to the first session.

On the day of my hire, how will we get access to the building ?

During opening times for the building, there is someone on the premises all the time. You simply need to come to the front reception a few minutes before your session starts, where you will be given a quick safety briefing.

Do I need insurance ?

No, for rehearsals, our insurance is sufficient

Can I use the lighting and sound equipment ?

Under the terms of a rehearsal space hire, all you are hiring is the space itself. If you need the professional lighting and sound systems from the theatre, talk to us at the time of hire.

Do you have a café for coffee and lunch breaks ?

We don’t, but within the development, there is a café, Union Street Café which is also where most of us grab coffees and lunch
