THEATRE HIRE
Theatre Hire of the Auditorium
The Auditorium at the Cervantes theatre can be used in a wide variety of different ways. Its core use is as the home of the Spanish Theatre Company in London to show its own productions, but we also hire it out to other organisations. The principal uses are as follows:
Rehearsal Space
The auditorium can be hired for either for rehearsals or auditions. As a rehearsal space, it is ideal, very well situated at just 3 minutes walk from Southwark underground station, with a stage area suitable for up to 15 people and with multiple amenities such as cafes nearby for coffee and lunch breaks. A full description of the space, together with rates and terms and conditions can be found on our rehearsal space page.
Corporate Hire
We encourage daytime and evening corporate theatre hire. Over the time we have been open, the theatre has been used for staff presentations, presentations to clients and training courses. Set in Old Union Arches, itself an upmarket development with two high end restaurants (Macellaio and Bala Baya) to repair to for lunch or dinner, the theatre is very well specified, with luxurious seating, air-conditioning and a range of audiovisual equipment. Our page covering corporate theatre hire gives more details.
Receiving Theatre/Showcases
We are very happy, subject to scheduling and the artistic approval of our Artistic Director to stage external productions. For companies wishing to hire the theatre for one of their own productions, we offer a range of help including marketing support, a box office service and help in locating rehearsal space in the area.
If you wish to carry out a showcase of your work, then the theatre can also be made available for this too.
For more details see our Theatre Hire for Performances page.
Theatre Hire of the whole building/The Bar Area
On occasions, we hire the either the whole building or the bar areas out to companies who wish to put on events that involve a combination of presentations and entertaining. We now have significant expertise in staging corporate events which are inevitably bespokely created, requiring elements of theatrical production for the presentation elements together with top quality catering.
You can also book the theatre bar area for private parties. See theatre bar hire
