Volunteers
We are always on the look out for enthusiastic, friendly volunteers with a passion for theatre and/or Spanish language and culture.
Theatre volunteer positions available
We offer volunteer positions in Front of House, in the box office, in the bar/café and for distributing flyers. This is a great opportunity to gain some experience working in the arts, to meet new people and to of course see some free theatre!
If interested please contact our volunteer team at: volunteering@cervantestheatre.com
Information we will need about you
There is some information that we will need about you so that we can ensure that the theatre has in place volunteers for the whole season and so that you can get the best out of your volunteering experience.
From our point of view we need to know how many dates you can commit to, your preferred working pattern (e.g “I’d rather do a whole week” or ‘I can commit to every Wednesday”) plus dates you definitely can’t do (e.g. holiday dates , matinees etc).
The make-up of our audience is also a little different to other theatres. As we do Spanish speaking performances, we occasionally have people attending whose English is poor, so for some of the performances we need at least one front of house person with a good level of Spanish. We also have a number of younger members of the audience, so if you have been DBS checked, let us know
From your point of view, if you have specific goals in volunteering, we would be interested to hear about them so that we can incorporate them into our thinking.
